In cold climate areas, lots of people keep their refrigerator/freezer in their outdoor garage.
Not only do they save electricity by keeping the R/F in a semi-outdoor area (garage is outdoors and is not heated) but also save indoor space and make access to the R/F more difficult (helps lose weight & save on food costs by keeping the R/F out of the house).
